The goal of the Coalition for Advancing Safer Healthcare (CASH) is to build a model of an ideal yet feasible health system of the future—Ambition Health System—that prioritizes safety and prevents harm before it happens.
With an initial focus on four strategic areas—Large-Scale Health System Technology, Human Factors Solutions, Data for Improvement, and Direct-to-Consumer Technology—a partner hub will lead national, multidisciplinary work groups to conceptualize safety solutions for Ambition Health System.
The Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative (PRHI), as a non-profit operating arm of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, will serve as the CASH coordinating team with technical expertise from Ken Catchpole, PhD, Medical University of South Carolina’s SmartState Endowed Chair in Clinical Practice and Human Factors, and a member of the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation’s Committee on Scientific Evaluation.
