Nurse Project Manager, Aging Initiatives

Maureen Saxon-Gioia is a nurse project manager for aging initiatives and maternal health at the Jewish Healthcare Foundation (JHF). She serves as the liaison for the Pennsylvania Teaching Nursing Home Collaborative, strengthening partnerships between academic nursing schools and skilled nursing facilities to improve quality outcomes and address workforce challenges. She also contributes to the Statewide Long Term Care Learning Network, advancing training and education to enhance healthcare quality and workforce development in nursing facilities, and to JHF’s Death & Dying Fellowship.

In addition, Maureen serves as a Maternal Health PA PQC Coach, advancing maternal & neonatal health teams by drawing on her experience in high-risk labor and delivery. With a strong background in clinical and post-acute quality improvement, she brings a collaborative approach to advancing value-based care. Her experience spans neuro intensive care, high-risk labor and delivery, and home health services, where she led practice improvement efforts. Previously at JHF, she completed the Nurse Navigator Champions Program and served as a trainer and coach in Perfecting Patient Care and Quality Improvement.

Maureen holds a BSN from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in health services administration from Robert Morris University.
