The webinar will explore some of the most pressing opportunities in patient safety today, from diagnostic safety and transparency to age-friendly care, federal policy, and designing healthcare systems to prevent harm.
The program will also feature the work of the Coalition for Advancing Safer Healthcare (CASH), coordinated by JHF and the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative (PRHI). Karen Wolk Feinstein, PhD, Alvin Rogal President and CEO Emeritus of JHF, will moderate a discussion with CASH thought leaders Michael Rosen of Johns Hopkins Medicine and Robert El-Kareh of UC San Diego Health.
Together, they’ll take a deeper look at CASH’s recently released Safe By Design recommendations and its vision for an Ambition Health System, an ideal health system designed around anticipating and preventing harm rather than responding after it occurs. The conversation will also explore how this vision aligns with CMS’ Patient Safety Structural Measure.
